LIMS Product Articles From "Lab Manager Magazine"

“Lab Manager Magazine” published two LIMS articles from me in their October 2009 issue. If you’re looking to purchase a LIMS (or an ELN), depending on what you’re looking for, these articles might be useful.
Product Focus: LIMS
The article entitled, “Product Focus: LIMS” is a piece that describes where the LIMS market is at and gives a little information about what a LIMS is (versus an ELN, for example). Here is the link to that article: http://www.labmanager.com/articles.asp?ID=370
Note: I see that there is a list of LIMS at the bottom of the page. That was compiled by the magazine. I didn’t participate in the list and I cannot answer any questions about it.
The LIMS Market
This article lists the top five LIMS vendors in our industry based on overall market share and in those products that are in direct competition with each other on a regular basis. It does not try to assert that any of these systems would be the right choice for your circumstance. A number of people have asked how the magazine and I came up with the idea to write about these particular vendors. The reason is that, as you realize, there’s no way to write about every LIMS vendor in an article of this size.
